SAPP & HARAPAN ulangi gesaan agar parti semenanjung tidak bertanding di Sabah

KOTA KINABALU, Disember 24, 2016: Presiden Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP). Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee, mengulangi gesaan bahawa parti yang berpusat di Semenanjung yang mahu bertanding di Sabah akan bertentangan dengan ikrar mereka untuk memastikan autonomi Sabah selaras dengan Perjanjian Malaysia 1963 (MA63).

“Prinsip asas adalah bahawa parti Malaya bertanding di Malaya; Parti Tempatan Sabah bertanding di Sabah. Ini adalah prinsip MA63 mana parti-parti yang berpangkalan di Malaya kini mengatakan mereka akan menghormati. Tetapi jika parti-parti Malaya mahu bertanding di Sabah, ini akan bertentangan dengan ikrar mereka untuk memastikan autonomi Sabah di bawah MA63.

“Jadi, jika parti-parti Malaya mahu bertanding di Sabah, mereka perlu memberi kuasa kepada para pemimpin mereka untuk memulakan perbincangan dengan pihak Sabah.”

Katanya ketika diminta mengulas mengenai Sabah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Pemangku Ketua merangkap Api-Api ADUN Christina Liew kenyataan bahawa terdapat ruang untuk rundingan untuk mencapai sasaran satu lawan satu antara BN dan pembangkang.

Sementara itu, Presiden Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (Harapan Rakyat), Datuk Seri Panglima Lajim Ukin, telah menggesa parti-parti pembangkang yang berpusat di Semenanjung untuk mempertimbangkan tidak bertanding di Sabah pada Pilihan Raya Umum ke-14 (PRU-14). Lajim berkata parti pembangkang berpusat di Semenanjung sebaliknya perlu bekerjasama dengan rakan berasaskan tempatan mereka dan memberikan sokongan mereka dalam pilihan raya yang akan datang.

Semasa SAPP kongres pada bulan Oktober, Yong berkata parti pembangkang berpusat di Semenanjung perlu mengakui bahawa Sabah sudah mempunyai parti-parti pembangkang tempatan yang kukuh, iaitu, SAPP, Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) dan Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) di bawah United Sabah Alliance (Gabungan), Parti Warisan Sabah dan kini Harapan Rakyat. Yong berkata parti-parti Malaya perlu menghormati rakan-rakan pembangkang tempatan di Sabah dan tidak bertanding dalam Negeri itu menurut MA63. Dalam perkembangan lain, Yong berkata perbincangan antara Gabungan Sabah dan Harapan Rakyat sedang berjalan.
