KOTA
KINABALU, June 29, 2016: Don`t blame others if the RCI Technical committee
had failed in its duty to the people of Sabah, said Edward Dagul, SAPP
Deputy President yesterday in a statement in response to the statement
made by PBS Assistant Secretary General, Datuk Herbert Timbun Lagadan.
The statement made by Datuk Herbert, reported in a local daily, where he
questioned the reluctance by the Federal authorities to implement the RCI
recommendations was simply to distract the public from apportioning blame
to Tan Sri Pairin, Said Edward.
First and foremost, it is the duty of the RCI`s Technical committee, under
the chair of Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, to make known the committee`s
findings and recommendations that had been submitted to the Main Committee
or otherwise.
It seem that Datuk Herbert was confident that Tan Sri Pairin`s committee
had already submitted their findings and recommendations to the Main
committee and that the onus is now on the authorities to implement the
so-called recommendations made.
“If these findings and recommendations were indeed already submitted, then
the public wants to know when was it done.
These question are valid and until they are answered satisfactorily, do
not blame the public for opining that the whole thing is a political
smokescreen and that the Technical committee, under Tan Sri Pairin, has
actually not yet completed the report tasked by the Main committee, said
Edward.
