Double Six tragedy, plane crash that took place in Kota Kinabalu on June
6, 1976, Sabah, Malaysia, killing all passengers includes Tun Fuad
Stephens, Datuk Salleh Sulong, Datuk Peter Mojuntin, Chong Thien Vun,
Darius Binion. Wahid Peter Andu, Dr Syed Hussein Wafa, Isak Atan, Corp.
Said Mohammad and Johari Stephens including the pilot Captain
Nathan Ghandi.
The main reasons behind the tragedy are volatile.
Immediately after the
crash there were allegations of foul play due to the political
circumstances at the time.
The Australian government sent a team of four investigators to assist in
finding the cause of the accident. According to preliminary investigations
indicated overloading was one of the contributing factors.
However the real reason for the crash remains a mystery meanwhile the
original report on the incident remains classified until today. Many
questions arise whether the air crash tragedy was the result of a
mechanical problem or bomb or pilot error or problematic aircraft?
According to the National Archives of Australia, the Statement of reasons
under section 40(5) of the archives act 1983 ¨C Including decision on
access, has been released to the government of Malaysia but they have
failed to publish the report to the people of Sabah.
Why? Now, the people of Sabah want to know why the 1976 report remains
classified and not allowed to be published. What makes Tun Fuad's aircraft
crashed? Was there a bomb on board the plane as claimed? Was the accident
occurred as a result of mechanical failure as dubious?
Was it due to the overloading factor or Pilot error? If not, then why the
Government of Malaysia never publish any investigation reports to the
public?
For these reasons, an explanation of the tragedy must be disclosed.
Sabahan want and should know the truth about what was really happened on
June 6, 1976. Is the death of Tun Fuad Stephens and his Cabinet members
was a mishap or sabotaged or a political conspiracy?
SABAHANs have every single right to demand the present Government of
Malaysia with a logical explanation. We want the government to reveal the
hidden story behind the scene.
Once SAPP is voted into power this coming election, the new state
government of Sabah will demand the release from the Australian government
their forensic findings on the NOMAD aircraft wreckage.
